| Diwaney,
one of the most anticipated plays at this time is at last getting
on air by the end of this month. It is Kashif Mehmood's third serial
as the producer while he has got acclaim from his previous two serials
namely Aashiana and Bulandi, both directed by Mohammad Usman and Zulfiqar
Ali and were mega hits. 'Diwaney is not mere a play to mint money,
but an effort to keep the relation between the national picture tube
and the viewers flourishing. I hope the play will boost performance
of the TV for its lavish seetings, forceful story and the cast. It
is quite different than the plays on air at the very moment, no doubt
there is glamour but that is by rich locations keeping with the momentum
of the play. I am very much optimistic about the success of Diwaney,
it will Inshallah bring back the viewers from the dish and cable"

more than anything else, the lighting and camerawork of the play is
remarkably good. It is done in keeping with the demand of the play
and it is the richness that has attracted the overall impact of the

Hussian
Sheikh who has done so hard to show as much richness as possible in
the entire scenario. He is fast shaping up as a man with ample potential
to handle lights and camera in the private productions.
Mohammad Usman and Zulfiqar Ali, the directors were pretty satisfied
with the way the whole work has happened, they praised the producers
and their team for being so much co-operative. Talking to SHOWBIZ.COM.PK,
they said, “A set was specially made for the play, it was the
costliest set in the history of the TV plays and their production.
A spacious bedroom with a swimming pool and neoteric furniture were
added up to the glamour of the whole set. We are sure that all the
hardwork that we have done will pay us back and viewers will definately
like it”.

becomes a bone of contention between the two brothers cum friends.
The cast includes Saira Khan, Khyaam Sarhadi, Sohail Ahmad, Salim
Sheikh, Naghma Begum and Kudo. The play has been written by Abdul
Khaliq, it is his first ever play but the way that he has written
the play and dealt with the script, one can be very optimistic about
him.

Khaliq, producer of the play said that the play was recorded in Lahore
and in Mahudand. He said that this was the edge of the play as the
Mahudand was for the first time chosen as recording spot. He was of
the view that it will help in projection of the beautiful landscapes
of the Northern Areas throughout the play. |
