After wooing the audience with his melodious 'Jugnu' number from
Samina Peerzada's Shararat, not to forget his 'Preeto' in Abrar's
video, model-turned-actor-turned-singer Ali Zafar is now on his
way to launching his own music album. Ali told showbiz.com.pk, that
he would be going to Karachi, first week of January, for the recording
of his album.
"I have composed as well as written the songs myself, I just
need to record them," he revealed, adding that the deal with
a music company had also been struck.
Ali said that he was presently occupied in his thesis work at Lahore's
National College of Arts, "I also plan to complete the video
of my title song, and release it around Basant time next year, before
the release of the album itself.
When asked as to what were his expectations from his debut album,
Ali sounded quite modest, "I won't make any lofty claims. I'd
rather wait for the audience's judgement on that."But, I can
promise that I will bring out a sound and music which has not been
heard before. Such as, my arrangement will be unique, and my songs
modern, but not necessarily western."
Ali also has another string to his bow. He is compering a television
show, called Gup Shup. Besides, he recently wrapped up his work
in Prime's much popular drama serial, Landa Bazar, because of his
studies. Ask him as to what does he enjoy doing the most, and Ali
doesn't think twice before uttering "MUSIC!"
