The filmwallas seemed to have literally opened their doors to Veena Malik, eversince the bold girl created ripples by virtue of her nude pictures' scandal. They obviously wanted to cash in on her 'newfound popularity'. Ditto for the tube directors. But, what is most surprising is the fact that none of Veena's films and plays have got her the kind of response that she wanted.

After the success of Yeh Dil Aap Ka Huwa, Veena signed on a dozen movies, mostly as the second or third heroine, without much thought, all of which is making her suffer now. The latest blow to the dusky damsel remains the failure of Kala Gujjar, one movie on which Veena was banking a lot. She is really in hot waters these days, and trying her best to save her skin, as all of a sudden producers are shying away from her. Now, Veena must wait for the release of Aatish, another movie that has the potential to save her from being labeled as a flop material.
